7:00pm – Enjoy dinner and cocktails on the Library Lounge patio underneath the grand Magnolia tree.

One-Night Stay – Day Two:

Option One: Jackson Itinerary

10:00am – Walk over to the Eudora Welty House and Garden. If you want to have a guided tour of the home, admission is currently limited to two people and tickets must be booked in advance. You can also enjoy the visitor center with museum exhibits and take a self-guided walk through the garden at no cost.

12:00pm – Visit Fondren for lunch at Rooster’s (if you’re in need of a fried chicken fix), Barrelhouse (a Southern pub style eatery), or Green Ghost Tacos (if you’re craving authentic Mexican food). All three restaurants offer outdoor seating.

1:30pm – Stroll around Fondren and check out local favorites like Swell-O-Phonic for Jackson area clothing, Fondren Guitars to gaze at awesome instruments and accoutrements, Blithe & Vine for on-trend women’s fashion, and the best window shopping at Treehouse Boutique.

Option Two: Ridgeland Itinerary

10:30am – Drive to Ridgeland and discover the beautiful Natchez Trace Parkway. There are numerous pullouts along the main road with great views, but we especially like the Reservoir Overlook. You can even access the 10-mile Natchez Trace Multi-Use Trail from there as well.

12:00pm – Enjoy a patio lunch at Local 463, with plenty of flatbread, salad, and sandwich options.

1:30pm – After lunch, walk around Renaissance at Colony Park, the outdoor shopping center that has everything from local gems like Gifts by KPEP to classic stores like Anthropologie.

Two-Night Stay – Day Two:

8:30am – Fuel up for the day with a complimentary made-to-order breakfast at the Fairview Inn.

9:30am – Grab lunch to go from Campbell’s Craft Donuts to bring with you on the road. Don’t be fooled by their name; they offer much more than just donuts – think mouthwatering street tacos and homemade burgers.

10:00am – Drive to LeFleur’s Bluff State Park to take advantage of walking trails and beautiful nature views right here in Jackson. When you get hungry, just unpack your picnic lunch. There are plenty of shaded picnic tables to use.

1:00pm – Pop by Urban Foxes outdoor café on the way back for an afternoon coffee with a piece of pie or a scone. We recommend the Good Grief peanut butter pie or the bacon cheddar scones, but you really can’t go wrong.

3:30pm – Head back to the Fairview to freshen up.

4:00pm – Stop by Highland Village; it’s not only a great place to walk around and shop, but you can enjoy happy hour outside at Aplos until 6pm.

6:00pm – When you’re ready for dinner, choose from local favorites like BRAVO!, Char, or Crazy Cat Eat Up, which all have outdoor seating.
