The Mississippi Book Festival is a nonprofit that launched in 2015 and continues to bring many book lovers to our city for its “literary lawn party”! This event is so cool because it invites local, regional, and national authors into our historic city.

At the Fairview we take pride in our Mississippi literary heroes – our Library Lounge is adorned with a Civil War book collection; contemporary fiction and non-fiction works of famous writers like Eudora Welty, John Grisham, William Faulkner, Willie Morris and Tennessee Williams; and a taste of all things Mississippi– art, culture, music, etc..
