Each year the holidays bring joy to our lives, and once they are over, the winter blues set in.
Well lucky for you, we, along with others in Jackson have planned a few events during this half of the year to keep your blues at bay.
- Our guest rooms are the ideal place to relax and unwind from your everyday lives – they also serve as the perfect place to reconnect as a couple. During the month of February we have a few specials going on. The All-Inclusive Lover’s Package and the Sweet Soulmate Special are both lovely and include luxury accommodations such as a dozen roses, chocolate covered strawberries, Champagne split, and more! - Step out into Belhaven Neighborhood on Saturday, January 15th, 2022. The Eudora Welty House will be hosting “Shoe Bird Buttons” – A morning full of Birds, Books, & Button making. Jennifer Rose, a Eudora Welty House & Garden Specialist, will read excerpts from Welty’s only children’s book, The Shoe Bird. Read more about this event here.
- On Saturday, January 29th, 1908 Provisions will host a Pop-Up Foodie Night ~Curry Edition~ (Traditional Indian Cuisine) we will have themed appetizers, entrees, desserts, & cocktails! Find more info here on Curry Night.
- Saturday, February 12th (One day after Mississippi’s Arbor Day) a free, family-friendly event will be hosted at the Eudora Welty House. The MS Urban Forestry Council will supply a selection of native trees to be given away to visitors. Find more about this event here.
- Not sure what to do for your special one for Valentine’s Day? Look no further…1908 Provisions at the Fairview Inn will host two Valentine’s Dinners. on the evenings of Saturday, February 12th and Monday, February 14th we will have a delicious prix fixe menu with appetizers, entrees, and mouth watering desserts! - Once March is here The District At Eastover will be thriving every Thursday. The District is filled with local shops, restaurants, a food hall, & more. Learn more about Thursdays at The District at Eastover here.
- On April 2nd, 2022 the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science will have NatureFEST – with live animals and fish feedings in their large aquariums + the museum. The young ones in your family won’t want to miss this event!
